wait...yes really. wait for that final rose.

really? i mean really? is this really happening right now.

i'm sitting on my loveseat at 10:04 on another Monday night. the bachelor, one of the only two shows i commit to watching each week, has just ended.

tonight was the final rose ceremony.

for those who may not tune in to pine over Brad Womack and make fun of the catty bimbos that chase him around, the final rose ceremony is where the bachelor chooses his final girl. the one he's fallen in love with, or at least the one he's connected with the most and wants to give a go with outside in the real world for awhile.

okay...here's the part where if you watch the show, missed tonight and plan to catch it on your dvr or online later you should stop reading.

how could he not pick one? really? Brad went from being the hottest, sweetest, most sincere bachelor in bachelor history (and i've seen just about every one of them) to being just another cute jerkhole walking down the street. he made this transition in a 30-second span of time...i have to say quicker than any other jerkhole who's earned that title. usually the jerkholeness is earned over a longer period of time in which they commit several jerkhole offenses.

brad, on the other hand, chose such a shocking time, made such a surprising move and did so on such a public stage that he was able to reach jerkhole status on the first known offense.

i, having placed a wager on the event that deanna would walk away with the diamond on her finger, was thrilled when jerkhole broke up with jenni. it was the same break-up formula typically used. "jenni, you're great. you're lovely. any guy would be lucky to have you," followed by the token compound, "and, but, however," that leads into the obliteration of an innocent, fragile heart.

poor jenni. it was sad, i mean i even felt bad for her as her face crinkled up beyond recognition and she desperately tried to keep the flow of tears from streaking her mascara. i mean i think we've all been there. that hopeless despair that implodes within you. your thoughts are clouded by confusion, and you're really not certain if the despondency in your heart is anger or sadness. all you yearn for is a dark corner with no one but you, maybe richard marx empathizing with you softly in the backgroud.

so i felt for her. but at the same time was overwhelmed with pride that brad had, in my mind, made the right decision. not only was deanna, my fav from the beginning, going to spend the rest of her life with our dream man but i also was going to enjoy a piping hot peppermint mocha courtesy of gretchen and the wager we placed on the night's event.

then, as advertised, this became the most shocking bachelor ending yet. the beautiful deanna walked up on the pedistal and jerkhole shoved her right back down those steps (figuartively speaking). he broke up with her too!

really?

what is wrong with him? he admitted to having feelings for both of them....caring for each one deeply. he told deanna that he just wasn't in love with her. ummm...okay. it's only been like 6 weeks, understandable jerkhole, but how about you continue to date in the real world for awhile and see where things go.

or, you can make the jerkhole decision and break both girls' heart. shove 'em both down the stairs and walk away with nothing. definitely makes sense.

i literally feel like i've wasted every monday for the last few months.

deanna said something at the end in the limo ride home that really resonates with me. she said, "i'm tired of being that girl who helps him become the perfect guy for the next girl."

she sums it up pretty well i think.

but here's a thought from my head while driving home tonight. recently a jerkhole told me that i am too good for him. at the time i thought, "cop-out. he's just saying that because he doesn't want to be with me and that't he nice thing to say." that could still be the case. but what he revealed to me, even more through his actions than through his words, is that he was in fact absolutely correct. i am too good for him.

it's time to take a stand and just say "no!" to being 'that girl.' and start saying "yes!" to being too good for him. not in a snotty, conceited, egotistical way. but in a i'm worth more, i deserve more and i won't settle for less way.

all wagers and rose favorites aside: jenni is too good for him. deanna is to good for him. i am too good for him. you are too good for him. and don't let anyone tell you different until absolutely, positively, without a doubt or compound insight, 'mr. you complete me, just right' is on one knee in front of you with that very last rose in hand, demanding you accept it or he just might die.

because that's what we deserve, and we were made just too damn good to settle for anything less.

i couldn't agree more...and i think i even agree with the swear.

i don't care if i have to fight off the unworthies for the rest of my life. they're not for me.

YOU are worth it. I am worth it. ALL the girls on the show are worth it.

WE'RE ALL WORTH IT.

so there jerkholes.

I'm sorry...I can't resist anymore. Any girl that signs up to be on that show is NOT WORTH IT! They are fame seeking bimbos. What do they seriously expect is going to happen???

However, roomies of apt. whatever the number is...you are worth it.

I always tell girls to live by this motto and their lives will be simpler - All men are evil.

:) I'm laughing really hard right now. Oh...I think a tear just came out of my right eye. This was really good...except...maybe, just maybe mind you, you've gotten a wee bit too wrapped up in the batchelor? Even so, it's nice to read something written so passionately you can feel the it through the computer screen. As full of joy said, "so there jerkholes." Oh, I'm laughing again ;)
