it hurtzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
who knew that an innocent game of "batter-up" could result in a painful, rolling on the floor broken blood vessel in the inner-knuckle of the right ring finger???
let me provide further explanation...
boog and i were chillin' like tha ballerz we are in the l to the iving room as goose was finishing up her digiorno frozen pizza in the kitchen. well, boog said something silly about goose...can't recall what it was that sparked the drama that was to follow...but goose chucked a half a piece of wheat crust across the room at boog. boog, with her lightning quick reflexes, flung her left forearm in the air and denyed the crust its glory. as the minutes passed, many pieces of crust were thrown violently, ricocheting off the walls of our crib. after a few minutes, goose had an extraordinary idea! "my right hand can be a bat, and boog, you can be the pitcher!" boog excitedly agreed and lovingly called this game, "batter-up!"
the first pitch was hit to the right loveseat, but called foul...the second pitch came....goose swung hard...the crust put a dent in the wall...AND in goose's hand...
instead of taking the bases that she well-deserved...goose hit the floor with a mighty roar, screaming "my popped blood-vessel! my popped blood-vessel! it hurtzzzzz!!!" boog chimed in with, "get off the floor, goose...and quick kicking your feet up in the air!!!" this was followed by an intense spout of agressive language while rolling across the floor in a panicked haste.
once i took a look at the fatal injury it was easy to see the reason for this madness! instant swelling engulfed the knuckle, prohibiting any and all movement of the last three fingers on the right hand. no way, no how could this pain ever compare to mole removal, acl tearage, or major crampage! no! crustal penetration of the blood vessel is far more painful!
once the swelling was sustained, the stiffness set in. bendage was impossible. the only option was a long, endless night of agony.
i will continue to update you on the healing process...
